Alternative Provision Co-ordinator

Pay Range: Support SO2 (FTE £32,416 to £34,207) or Teacher - UNQ/MPR Scales
Start Date: Easter or earlier for support staff.
Contract Type: 36 hours a week, 39 weeks a year or Full Time teaching hours (depending on qualification status)
Contract Term: Permanent

Marshalls Park is an expanding Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school and we are seeking an Alternative Provision Co-coordinator. This is position would be an excellent opportunity for both qualified/unqualified teachers and support staff and we welcome applications from suitable candidates from both cohorts. Final salary and certain responsibilities are dependent on the appropriate terms and conditions for the successful applicant.

This role is to work under an agreed system of supervision taking a lead role within the school to address the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning such as attendance, behavioural, emotional & attachment difficulties, through restorative practice and child centered support, with close liaison with home and outside agencies. To establish relationships that supports the pupil in reaching their potential and to lead in school on developing home/school links. The successful candidate must have experience of working with vulnerable children and those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
