Fleur Sumption: Fleur shares highlights at OHA during path from ECT to Curriculum Leader

Fleur Sumption, a curriculum leader at Orsett Heath Academy, shares her development from ECT to Head of Art. She shares “I joined Orsett Heath Academy four years ago to do my ECT years after my initial teacher training, and I've stayed here ever since and worked my way up to Head of Art. The department's really busy and the school itself is really supportive and lovely.”

Fleur has worked with other schools within the Trust and says “it's been really good to not just talk to those who are in the school, but also the links across SWECET as well”.

One of the standout moments of Fleur's career at OHA is when she encouraged “one of my Year 11 students to apply for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and she got through into the student section … to go in and see her work in the Royal Academy in London was absolutely fantastic and she did so well, so that has been a real highlight of my time.”
